SCS Welcomes Sierra, Luke Steuerwald to Key Positions

Sheboygan Christian School is thrilled to announce the hiring of Sierra and Luke Steuerwald! Sierra will serve as our full time Director of Instruction and Learning, and Luke will serve SCS as a middle school teacher.

Meet Sierra
Mrs. Steuerwald began her career in education as a middle and high school math teacher. She transitioned to the leadership role of Director of Instruction in the Wautoma school district, a position she held from 2018 to 2023.

She has always had a passion for mentoring young people to know and serve the Lord. In addition to ministering within the classroom setting, Sierra and Luke spent several summers volunteering in camp ministries and leading a local church youth group.

Sierra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Maranatha Baptist University, as well as a Masters of Education in Educational Administration from Concordia University.

Meet Luke
Growing up in a family of educators and as the oldest of six kids, Mr. Steuerwald knew he wanted to become a teacher since he was a middle school student. After teaching for twelve years in a rural public school in central Wisconsin, he sensed God’s call to move his family to SCS.

Luke holds an Elementary Education degree from Maranatha Baptist University and a masters in Educational Administration from Concordia University. When not in the classroom, Luke may be found spending time with his family watching Wisconsin sports, hunting and camping at the family property.

The Steuerwalds
Luke and Sierra have been married since 2010 and have two young boys. They both graduated from Christian schools and are excited to be able to provide their children Wesley (6) and Silas (1) with a Christian education. Sierra and Luke are members of Wild Rose Baptist Church, and they look forward to finding a new church home in the Sheboygan area. The Steuerwald family is looking forward to becoming active, committed members of the SCS community.
